Zakaria El Ahmadi was born in 1962 in Meknes, Morocco, but grew up in Casablanca after his family moved there when he was young. He began a career in architecture, but was often chosen as a model for advertising because of his natural good looks and infectious smile. Through modeling, he developed an interest in both acting and set decorating. He moved to Paris in 1999 and worked as a set decorator and actor. He died of intestinal cancer in Paris on January 22, 2019.
