Stephen Savage

Director, screenwriter, and composer, Stephen Savage first came to prominence as the creative force behind the romantic ecology centered comedy "Cosmic Radio", starring Michael Madsen, Daryl Hannah, Wes Studi, Taboo of Black Eyed Peas, legendary actor Seymour Cassel, and Irene Bedard (the voice of Disney's "Pocahontas"). The film was the sleeper hit of the Palm Springs International Film Festival, becoming the first film to sell out all three of its opening weekend screenings, and then went on to screen at Sundance that same year before finding wide streaming distribution on Amazon Prime, AppleTV, iTunes, The Roku Channel, and more. His Hitchcock inspired thriller, "Legacy", enjoyed a wide global release in 7 languages, and his female driven movie, "Vertical", was the winner of the Best international Film Award at the 2015 London International Film Festival, and won the Audience Choice trophy at the 2015 Paris Film Expo before it began streaming worldwide on half a dozen platforms. His commercial work for such prominent clients as Tesla, Hyundai, Acura, and Kia, plus his award winning work on the 2012 Super Bowl Ad Spot for Suzuki, along with his work with the A&E Network and The History Channel, all have contributed to his status as a major force in film, TV, and Web Based advertising, and helped make him a triple threat in the film, TV and commercial ad game. His upcoming 3 picture deal with Baylor films (through his self owned production company, Lunatopia), includes "Ulysses Coyote", a female driven comedy drama starring Anne Archer, filming in both the US and the UK, and two action-adventure films now in development for production over 2022-2025. Savage is also the author of the yearly produced adaptation of California's Official State Play, "Ramona", based on the 1884 Helen Hunt Jackson novel and the 1923 stage play of the same name, which is performed each spring in the beautiful 6000 seat Ramona Bowl Amphitheater in Southern California. Savage is the founder and director of the Idyllwild International Festival Of Cinema, occurring every March in Idyllwild, California, and is founder and chairman of the Scotland International Festival of Cinema, held every April in Peebles, Scotland.
