Robyn Forsythe was born in Sydney Australia the daughter of hard-working Australian mother Joan and whimsical Irish born, father Victor. Her stage apprenticeship began at the age of sixteen playing Cinderella in full English Pantomime rhyming slang. This inspired an unwavering passion to experience all aspects of performance so she seized the opportunity to play Jackie Weavers alter ego in the J C Williamson's production of They're Playing Our Song. Discovered by acclaimed Australian choreographer Ross Coleman whilst appearing in The Australian movie Rebel with Matt Dylan she was awarded a performance scholarship by Sir Robert Helpmann which enabled her to further hone her skills and landed her in front of Sir Andrew Lloyd Weber. She was signed to perform in the inaugural Australian production of CATS as Demeter working with director Sir Trevor Nunn and Choreographer Dame Gillian Lynn. Sadly her father Victor passed away and did not get to see her progress as her musical theatre career flourished and ultimately lead her to play the lead roll of Ruby in Dames at Sea at the Sydney to Opera house. Throughout this time TV and Film offers saw Robyn taking to the screen. Her face became the go to for advertisers for many years as she became the face of many iconic brands such as KFC, Foxtel, Coca Cola & IKEA. This assisted her Segway to more dramatic acting opportunities with Channel 7 in All Saints and the ABC in Fallen Angels and GP, between musicals. She has made Film appearances in Rebel, Puberty Blues and Bootman. She made her directing debut in Melbourne Australia with May Gibbs Snugglepot and Cuddlepie and most recently played the role of Gloria and choreographed for Channel 7's Back to the Rafters.
