Pedro Camilo

Singer-songwriter, musician, composer and producer, Pedro Camilo is an established artist in his home country. He has achieved many successes, starting from the early age of 11 years old with the teenage pop group Onda Choc which sold many platinum albums during Pedro's participation in the group (87/88). In 1997 Pedro Camilo, together with his band mates Nelson Rosado, Sérgio Rosado and Telmo Miranda hit the charts with boy band Sétimo Céu. The self titled album, released by Polygram, included the ballad Foi Só Um Olhar, Pedro's lead song which quickly climbed up the charts becoming the band's greatest hit. In 1999 Pedro signed with BMG and released his first solo album, Dono Do Tempo. The rock ballad Espaço Protegido, considered by some one of the best love songs ever, became Pedro's love anthem. In 2003 the 2nd solo album, Meant To Be was released. Produced by Luis Gil Bettencourt the album recordings took place on the Azores islands of Terceira, São Miguel and Pico, Boston, MA and L.A. where the final recordings and mixing took place with the help of Nuno Bettencourt. The album included the songs Meant To Be (which stayed 4 weeks on Nr.1 on the charts representing the soundtrack album for Morangos Com Açúcar TV series) and Hello, also used as main character theme song for Queridas Feras TV series. The songs Godless, Free, Can't Breathe and One Last Time all reached Nr. 1 on SoundClick Rock charts. One Last Time received a honorable mention from Billboard World Music Contest jury. In 2006 Pedro Camilo released his 3rd solo album, Stories Of A Recent Past from which 3 singles were extracted, Só De Nós Dois which became main character's song for Doce Fugitiva TV series, Dás-me O Mundo also included in the soundtrack album for Fala-me De Amor TV series and Dá-me Uma Razão, also included in Morangos Com Açúcar IV TV series soundtrack album. Besides his solo work Pedro Camilo has also produced albums and singles for other artists, advertising campaigns and sports events and his music has been widely used in TV Series and TV and radio commercials. Pedro has also participated in a few TV series either as special guest star or guest character.
