Dace Puce

Dace Puce is a Latvian Filmmaker residing in Riga, Latvia. She started her career as a singer, dancer and actress. Setting up her own Production Company on 2003, Puce went on to direct, produce many music videos and TV commercials while constantly upgrading her directorial skills attending Film Programs and workshops across the world. She studied at CS Martin College College for Art Directing, Latvian Academy of Art and has two MA degrees from Latvian Academy of Music and Audiovisual Art and Latvian Culture Academy as Film director and producer. She has attended courses in film directing at Brighton Film School (UK) and New York Film Academy (USA). Puce also attended the S.Meisner approach acting techniques from the True Acting Institute (USA). Dace wrote and directed her first feature film "The Pit"(2020), that became a huge success in festivals all around the world. "The Pit" has won Grand Prix awards like Tallin Black Night works in progress (Estonia, 2019), 62 Nordische Filmtage Lubeck (Germany, 2020) and Baltic Debuts Film Festival (russia, 2021). Dace was awarded as Best First Time Director in European Cinematography award for her second Latvia-India co-production feature film "Manny" (2020).
