Carl Joglar is a screenwriter who has written in many genres. He was co-founder and art director of the New York based writer's organization "Agony Productions", where his writing garnered interest from L.A. based filmmakers, which eventually lead to his collaboration with Group 101 Films and his participation in the AMC (American Movie Classics) film project, "Short Screamers hosted by John Carpenter", where his short script "The Witching Hour" was featured. His first feature script, an action/fantasy titled, "Children of Sin", placed as a quarter finalist in the Lone Star Screenplay Competition. Since then, he has completed nine full-length screenplays, several of which placed in various screenwriting contests. His family/fantasy script, "Charlie Barker" and a ghost thriller script titled, "Isaiah", both placed in the quarterfinals of The Writer's Network Competition. His dramatic thriller script, "The Madman's Lullaby", was a quarter finalist in the Scriptapalooza Screenwriting Competition and has garnered praise and interest from Zide/Perry Entertainment. His first short, "Crossfire", won best short film at the Two Boots Pioneer Theatre in New York. A short horror spoof titled, "Working Late", in which he appeared as the lead, was featured at the Fantasia Film Festival in Toronto, Canada and continued to run before the main feature at the Pioneer Theatre in New York.
