Justin Golding is a writer and director who has had his work produced for the stage and film. His last film, "The God's of Circumstances" which he directed, starred John Schneider. It was chosen to be the opening night film at the British Film Festival of Los Angeles and the film won best actor/actress and best supporting actor awards at the festival. His previous feature film "God's Forgotten House," which he wrote and directed, had its theatrical release in the UK November 2007, and has won Accolade awards in the US for best independent film and direction. He has also made a number of shorts, which he wrote and directed, and a financially successful documentary. His latest short film called "Five Years of Forever," has already won four Accolade awards for direction, acting and for the short film itself and it has been selected as Best American Short at the Swansea Bay Film Festival. He wrote, produced and starred in this film. Justin started his career in the entertainment industry as an actor when he was chosen for the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain. Later he trained further and performed in theaters in London and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Shortly thereafter he obtained his Equity card and was hired as an actor for a number of different shows for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, S4C and independent film companies. When he moved to the US he directed Off-Broadway, most notably the world premiere of Deidre McNamara's Irish Ghost Stories at the Theatre, at St. Clements, and at the Duplex with the British Comedy Troupe, Banger's and Mash. He is a published and produced writer of short stories, poems, theatre and films. Many of his scripts have placed as finalists in such competitions as the PAGE Hollywood International Screenwriting Competition and the Cheltenham Screenwriters Festival, England. He has written/produced/directed two TV pilots called "Discount British Comedy" and "The Newsroom" with Emmy Award winning producer/writer David Carter and he also produced/wrote another pilot called, "Our Lost Tribe," with Chris Eyre, starring Wes Studi. Other screenplays, which he's written are in different levels of development with producers in Los Angeles and London. Justin has an MA in creative writing from the University of Wales, Trinity College and he holds a Ph.D. in creative and critical writing from the University of Aberystwyth.
