Antoni D'Ocon began its work with the film industry in 1976, when he distributed his first film and created the trademark D'Ocon Films. Years later and after few fictional short films, D'Ocon started to work on what would be his specialty, animation. In 1989 he would change the world of animation with an original and flexible, computerized production system: the D'Oc Animation System. It was patented in Europe and also the US. Antoni D'Ocon became the first to produce computer animation for television at the industrial level with the TV series "The Fruitties", which was written, produced and directed by him. This TV series was a hit around the world and in many TV and Film markets. The success continued with "Delfy and his friends", "Basket Fever", and "Sylvan". In the middle nineties, he started co-producing TV series with the biggest companies on the market. Titles such as "Captain Fracasse" with the French company Ellipse, "Kong" with Universal/Vivendi, BKN and Ellipse, "Problem Child" with Universal Studios, "Enigma" and "Mumfie" broadcast on Fox Family Channel, "Wondrous Myths and Legends" co-produced with Sony Wonder and "Pocket Dragons" with BKN and DIC. D'Ocon created merchandising, organized events and published websites to promote the series. Antoni D'Ocon has been considered one of the fifteen most important personalities in the animation industry by Animation Magazine. He has been featured and interviewed by the biggest newspapers and specialized magazines around the world. During more than 20 years in the industry, Antoni D'Ocon has been awarded several times. On 1989, for his first animated TV series "Los Aurones", he got a mention on the Carrousel International Du Film de Rimouski. Years later, on the year 2000, Antoni was awarded with the National TV Award. On 2001, he was given the "Salvà i Campillo Award" to the most original Project in the New Information and Communication Technologies, a recognition from the Association of Telecommunication Engineers for an Indexation of Audiovisual Content in Animation Sequences System created jointly with the Barcelona's Polytechnic University. And finally on 2009, he got the Gaudí Award for the best animation movie for "Scruff: A Christmas without Santa". Antoni D'Ocon has also been present at the main markets and events for animation and TV industry such as MIPCOM and MIPTV in Cannes, France, sponsored by D'Ocon in 1991, or the NATPE in Las Vegas, sponsored for him in 1996. Antoni is a member of the Directors Guild of America, and also of the main collecting society for songwriters, composers and music publishers in Spain, SGAE (Sociedad General de Autores y Editores) and of the European Film Academy. He was president of the Animation Producers Association ANIMATS and vice-president of the Spanish Federation of Animation Producers (Diboos) and vice-president of the Federation of Spanish Audiovisual Producer Associations (FAPAE) before he started a new venture in the United States where he has settled down to co-produce series and movies with talent from Europe and the USA.
