Tomax Aponte is a screenwriter, musician, and award-winning filmmaker. He's worked as an Associate Producer and Co-Producer on the independent films P.J. and The Legends of Nethiah both available on Netflix. Directed short Off-Broadway play Living Room, is a member of the 2013 Lincoln Center Director's Lab and a graduate of The Digital Film Academy in New York. His short film L'accordatore (The Tuner) won the best short film award at the 2010 Las Vegas Film Festival and his other works have presented as official selections at many notable festivals throughout the U.S. including; LA Shorts Fest, Atlanta Film Festival and Shriekfest. Most recently his television pilot Red Coats was selected as a top five finalist in the 2014 New York Screenplay Contest. Confined was recently screened at the 2015 Red Hook Film Festival. His major influences include August Wilson, Martin Scorsese, Tadeusz Kantor, Aaron Spelling, Ruben Blades and Ernest Hemingway.
