Having grown up in a salvage yard in rural Arkansas, the bright lights of Los Angeles seemed a world away to Frances Titsworth; however, she worked hard throughout high school and gained admission into the Theatre program at Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1998. Immediately after college, she moved to the Los Angeles area, where she worked in publishing during the day and in theatre during the night. She entered Chapman University's film production graduate program in 2002. She soon discovered a passion for production design and has since wrung up a substantial number of credits for several short films, commercials, and a feature film. Frances was the production designer for the Leo Freedman Master's Fellowship winning-script, "Purple Star." Her work on the short horror film, The Descendent, (2006) was nominated for a Cecil Award at Chapman University. She was an art director for the 2005 Coca-Cola Refreshing Filmmaker's Award finalist film, "Kid Entrepreneur," and also production designer for the winning films in 2006 and 2007, "The Reel Monkey" and "The Morning Routine," which was released in over 21,000 theaters across the world. She also worked in the art department for David LaChapelle's "Breakfast Club" themed JC Penney commercial and photo shoot for "The Rape of Africa." Frances's directing credits include the 16 mm short film, "Simple Pleasures;" the digital short film, "The Mount Nebo Chicken Fry," starring Natalie Canerday and Candyce Hinkle, which was inspired by her childhood in Arkansas; and Born the Sky's music video, "Sweet Valentine," starring Scout Taylor Compton.
