Eric Appel

Eric Appel is an American filmmaker whose work spans television, film, and commercials. Originally from Endicott, he studied computer animation at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, where early experiments with video led him toward directing. His artistic formation developed through improv performance and training at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, followed by writing and digital-media work that shifted his focus from writing to directing. His career includes a Critics Choice Award for Best Made for Television Movie.
