She's performed at The Comedy Store, The Improv, The Ice House, and countless other comedy clubs across the country. Branded as The Memoir Midwife in Hollywood, Stacy is a professional story-developer who helps everyone from film studio executives to retirees find, write, and share their stories in the form of books and movies. On the big screen, Stacy is the writer/director/producer of several award-winning films, including the feature "Jupiter Landing" (co-written with Zack Van Eyck), "Hold Please" (Stacy as writer/producer), which was nominated for a Golden Bear at the 2006 Berlin International Film Festival, and "The Write Stuff," an official entry in several Academy Award qualifying film festivals. Alone and with her writing partner, Zack Van Eyck, Stacy has written over a dozen screenplays, and together they've won over 25 screenwriting contest awards. In April 2016 Stacy gave a TED Talk entitled "Prison: A Startling Path to Creativity" in which she details how she mentored author David C. Stacy was also a finalist in the Southern California Comedy Competition, as well as a semi-finalist in the 2012 Toastmasters International Speech Contest, competing for the title of World Champion of Public Speaking with her award-winning speech, "Wynton Marsalis Had My Back." She also performed in the 2018 Hollywood Fringe Festival with her solo show "The Other Side of the Razor Ribbon," and in the 2019 Hollywood Fringe Festival with her one-hour comedy show "A Bit Much," both of which won the Producer's Encore Award. "A Bit Much" also made Better Lemons' "Best Shows of 2019" list. Stacy has also written several books, the most popular being "The Memoir Midwife: Nine Steps to Self-Publishing Your Book" and the hilarious "Confessions of a Band Geek Mom" (a funny account of balancing motherhood with a career) which was a bestseller under humor books on Amazon.
