Wade was born in Townsville, Australia. He started his career there as a camera assistant, at the age of 19 he decided to make the move to Hong Kong not knowing what to expect and not knowing anyone there, he later got involved in shooting Cantonese language feature films and worked regularly with Hong Kong's biggest stars. He was the Cinematographer of the Hollywood action film Elephant White starring Kevin Bacon (Mystic River) and Djimon Hounsou (Blood Diamond) directed by the famous Thai director Prachya Pinkaew (Ong- Bak). Wade is an accredited member of the Hong Kong Society of Cinematographers and works on Feature Films and TV Commercials worldwide, he is a Bangkok and Hong Kong resident. Some of his recent work includes the new HBO TV Series Grisse and the feature film The Cave by Thai/Irish Director Tom Waller, the film depicts the fascinating true story of the Thai cave rescue at Tham Luang cave in Mae Sai Thailand, some of the films lead cast was actually played by the real heroes, the film will be the first feature film to be released on the first year anniversary of the event.
