Cindy Yantis is a passionate award-winning storyteller who writes intense character-driven stories with strong voices, dramatic truths and smart humor as well as young adult fantasy. Her short film, On Georgia's Mind (2014), premiered in LA and is on the film festival circuit. Three of her feature scripts placed in the prestigious Nicholl Fellowship. She has produced other short films as well as theatrical showcase productions in Los Angeles, and has served as a story consultant for projects at various stages of production where she provides structure; character & plot development as well as giving detailed script notes. Cindy is writer-for-hire for film and television, has a young adult novel and is in the research phase as a ghostwriter on a book for the beauty industry that brings a fresh perspective on essence, archetypes and presence to the modern man and woman. She is preparing to publish a compilation of essays about life's metaphors, living at a higher consciousness and provoking change, one thought at a time from her blog. Not only a natural storyteller and professional writer, Cindy is a successful businesswoman. She has over 20 years of experience in advertising, sales and marketing which culminated to Vice President of Sales for Blair Television in Los Angeles -an international media rep firm. During her career she's been responsible for selling and managing millions of dollars in media for clients such as Ford, GM, Nestle, Disney, Sony and more. With 20+ years experience in creative writing, story telling, advertising and business, she brings a unique flair as a writer. She has a gift for getting to the heart of a story, has a working knowledge on building a successful brand and is dedicated to operating at a higher consciousness and living better for a better world. She served on the Board of Directors for American Women in Radio and Television, Art & Soul Center of Los Angeles, and was founder and president of The POWDER Network (Power of Women Developing Entertainment Resources), a professional networking organization for women in entertainment. Cindy grew up in the Midwest, born in Kansas and raised in Michigan, she earned her BAA in Broadcast & Cinematic Arts from Central Michigan University and studied screen writing at UCLA. She represented Indiana in the Miss America Pageant, 1984. Her mission is to continue to create, develop and collaborate on projects that improve people's lives.
