Michael Kinney

Michael Kinney is an award-winning Director, Writer and Producer best known for crafting international commercials for global brands such as Snickers, Ford, DirecTV and many others. After receiving a B.A. in English from the University of Florida, he received an M.F.A. in Film Production from USC's Graduate School of Cinema-Television. While at USC, he worked in the story department of New Regency Films on the lot of 20th Century Fox, tracking studio projects and covering spec scripts for possible purchase. After graduation, he went to work writing action films for Roger Corman's New Concorde Productions. His screenplays have won numerous awards, including first place in Fade In: Magazine's annual competition and most recently set up an action-thriller spec at Warner Brothers. For five years, he was the Head Writer and Supervising Producer at Current TV, the cable network founded by Al Gore. He also served as the Supervising Producer for Spike TV's reality show "Auction Hunters," which was the highest rated show in the network's history. In addition, he was the Supervising Producer, Director and Writer for the second season of "I'm Alive," an hour-long show on Discovery's Animal Planet. Michael Kinney has also Directed and Produced numerous independent feature films, including his latest, "The Good Die Young."
