Eric Simon grew up in Glendale, California in the shadow of Hollywood spending time on the set of 240-Robert (1979) with his Deputy Sheriff dad who was a technical advisor to Mark Harmon, Joanna Cassidy and John Bennett Perry. During his high school Spring Break of 1988 Eric spent the week as an extra on the set of Heathers (1989), starring Christian Slater and Winona Ryder. Thankfully, still having hair at the time he bore somewhat of a semblance to Christian Slater and was invited to be his stand-in, but received no credit. Two years later, Eric enlisted in the Army later becoming a Blackhawk helicopter pilot and eventually crossed over to the Air Force as a Reserve Combat Rescue and Special Operations Pilot where in 2006 he was a military extra on the set of Transformers (2007). In 2015 he became an official military entertainment liaison for the Air Force to The Smithsonian Channel, The History Channel, MTV, HGTV, Fox, Marvel and others. His aviation background paid off in 2018 when he was the aerial coordinator and project manager for converting the largest aircraft hanger in the western U.S. at Edwards AFB into a sound stage for Marvel Studio's Captain Marvel (2019) using $2.3 Billion in stealth aircraft. Coming off the success of Captain Marvel (2019), Eric was selected as the Deputy Commandant for the Defense Information School (DINFOS) where the military's Public Affairs, Visual Information (photo/video/graphics) and Strategic Communications professionals are trained.
