Jonathan grew up in Los Angeles and is the oldest of 5 children. He took music lessons all throughout his elementary and high school years. He first attended USC Music School but eventually transferred to UCLA, where he received a B.A in Ethnomusicology. Jonathan Keyes is the co-writer and co-creator of the online viral phenomenon song "Perfect Two". The song has over 800 million collective views on YouTube and social media from unique fan created content. As a musician and songwriter, he plays 8 instruments including guitar, piano, drums, bass, ukulele, sitar, gamelan, and percussion. His specialty is writing lyrics and melodies. Keyes' songwriting and music collaborations with artists and film projects include: Meghan Trainor, Bebe Rexha, Tomb Raider (2018), 22 Jump Street, Life of the Party (2018), Get Hard (Will Ferrell, Kevin Hart), K. Flay, Julian Bunetta, J.R Rotem, Cook Classics, Smith & Thell etc. Columbia Records / Sony Music hired Jonathan Keyes to be an A&R Talent Manager in 2006. In 2012, he discovered, developed and managed Emmy Award winning songwriter Matluck and writer/producer Samuel PK who composes for the Kardashian TV Shows. Keyes also made the key introduction to the CEO of Lava Records, Jason Flom, that directly resulted in the signing and discovery of the singer Lorde. Keyes is independently published.
