Texas Golden Gloves Champion Michael Thornberry is the VP of Business Development and Partner of Catori Pictures, a production company he founded with industry veteran Jasmin Espada. After graduating from Texas A&M University with a degree in Agriculture Development, he was a professional heavy-weight boxer, undefeated during his entire career (10-0, 8 KO's). Thornberry relocated to New York City from Texas where he studied film. He also studied with acclaimed acting coach Terry Schreiber, participated in theatre productions such as "Cowboy Mouth" and "The Man Who Had All the Luck" and starred in the film "Oldham County". In his first feature film role, Thornberry played the role of Swedish boxing Champion, Ingemar Johansson in Ali: "King of the World" opposite Terrance Howard. Shortly after relocating to Los Angeles, Michael was selected as a voice-over artist in the feature film "Hancock" starring Will Smith. Projects in development for Catori Pictures include: an adaptation of New York Times Best-Selling book "Brooklyn Story", 11 Days in Hell, Them Texas Boys, Billy Joe Shaver biopic and God's Eye starring Michael Madsen. Catori Pictures is setting a 501(c)3 number to establish THE CATORI PICTURES FOUNDATION with the goal of helping filmmakers all over the world including underdeveloped countries produce their films.
