Wade Beckett has worked in TV and digital production and programming for 15+ years and serves as CEO and EVP of Programming at ADVNCR. Prior to co-founding ADVNCR's North American operations, he served as Chief Programming Office and SVP of Video at IGN, the world's largest media brand for video games and entertainment. At IGN, he oversaw Programming, Social, Development, and Branded Content. Programming included a half-hour nightly show for Disney XD, the WWE x IGN Esports Showdown, six original series for the launch of Facebook Watch, Snapchat's official daily gaming show, and Twitter's official broadcast for Comic Con, E3, and more. Prior to IGN, he was Chief Programming Officer and Sr. Vice President of Production at the Fusion cable network a Disney/ABC & Univision joint venture. As CPO, he ran all aspects of programming, development and production at the network including non-scripted series, documentaries, specials, and live events. Fusion series under Beckett included The Chris Gethard Show, hosted by Chris Gethard and Executive Produced by Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Zach Galifianakis (co-produced by Funny or Die), Talking Minecraft, Star Wars: A New Gaming Era, My Selfie Life, No, You Shut Up!, hosted by Paul F Tompkins (co-produced with The Jim Henson Company), America with Jorge Ramos, hosted by eight-time Emmy winner Jorge Ramos, Real Future, The Naked Truth, Hell's Satans, Drug Wars, The Traffickers (co-produced by Emmy and Academy Award Winning producers at Light Box Entertainment), The Dan LeBatard Show (simulcast with ESPN), and more. Before joining Fusion, Beckett served as the Executive Producer/Showrunner for ESPN's SportsNation, which had the youngest and most engaged social audience among any of ESPN's studio-based shows at the time. In 2012 he successfully transitioned the daily show from ESPN's Bristol headquarters to Los Angeles. Throughout his tenure at ESPN he championed the importance of fan engagement and injected SportsNation with an entertaining dose of pop culture. As a result, the program was among the leaders at ESPN in social with over 4 million highly engaged followers on Twitter, second only to the iconic SportsCenter brand. Prior to ESPN, Beckett spent over six years as a key executive at NBCUniversal's G4 network and helped lead the channel from a young startup network to a Top 10 Cable network for its target demographic (M13-34) -- surpassing Discovery, ESPN2, History, Spike, and Nat Geo at the time. While there he created and oversaw a number of studio and field-based programs including the Top 100 Video Games of All-Time series and X-Play - one of the network's tent pole shows that became a go-to destination for young people interested in video games and technology. Beckett also oversaw the network's yearly live broadcasts as an EP of E3 and San Diego's Comic Con convention shows as well as a series of biography-based specials ("Icons") on subjects ranging from J.J. Abrams to The Onion, and worked with new talent transitioning to TV for the first time in Training Camp with Eddie George and Filter with Beth O. During his tenure at G4, he produced over 1,000 episodes and more than 25 special live events, including E3 LIVE, X-Play Live from Comic Con, Tokyo Game Show, Games Com Leipzig, All Access: Penny Arcade Expo, X-Play: Game Developers Conference Live, Countdown to the Xbox 360 LIVE, and many others. Prior to serving as Executive Producer at Comcast and NBCUniversal, Beckett held positions with ZDTV, Tech TV, DreamWorks, NBC's Peter Engel Productions, TV Guide Channel, and CinemaLine. Beckett is a member of the Producers Guild of America. He graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in Cinema.
