Zan Charisse

won the 1974 Theater World Award for her role in Gypsy her starring role in The Goodspeed Opera House production of Cowboy won her a rave review by Clive Barnes . She began as a professional dancer at 15 and appeared in as many as 12 Summer Stock musicals. At 19 She was one of four character women in The Plaza Nine musical Look Me Up which ran for nine months She became a member of British Actors Equity in order to be brought to Appear as Louise in the London production of Gypsy with Angela Lansbury She then performed across the country with Gypsy before ending up at The Wintergarden in NYC. She took on the role of Ivy in the Hudson Brothers Production of On The Town She turned to commercials and became " a commercial star" in the 80's with Alka Selzer directed by Stan Dragoti which won an Obie in demand in commercials in NYC and LA she made a new career She is currently the creative director of Happy Noise, a company that began as an app and has spilled over into fashion.
