Tim Alp

A highly-motivated and passionate producer, Tim has been producing, directing and writing television for over three decades. In 1997, Tim formed Mountain Road Productions Ltd. (MRP). Since that time, Tim has developed and produced critically-acclaimed and award-winning programming. Selected producer, director and writer credits include Lofty Ideas (HGTV Canada, HGTV US and internationally), Gemini Award winning Broken House Chronicles (HGTV Canada, Discovery Home US, ION USA and internationally), Gemini Award nominated Me, My House and I with Brigitte Gall (W Network and internationally), Gemini Award nominated All For Nothing? (W Network, OWN Canada and CASA), Gourds, Guts and Glory (CMT Canada), and 2014 Best Kids Web/App Series iKids Awards finalist, TotallyRandom.tv. Selected producer credits include Gemini Award nominated Design U (HGTV Canada, Discovery Home US, ION USA and internationally), Be Real with JR Digs (TVtropolis, E! Canada), New York Festivals Finalist The Real Estate Adventures of Sandy and Maryse (W Network, HGTV US), Gemini Award nominated The Restaurant Adventures of Caroline and Dave (W Network, OWN Canada and Asian Food Channel), and Sheltered (APTN). Tim also produced and directed Weekend Reno (Cottage Life), and Selling Big (Cottage Life, 7Mate Australia and Historia). The series also aired as a 1-hour special on Destination America in early 2014. In 2015 Tim Executive Produce I Wrecked My House, hosted by Steve Patterson (1 - 1hour and 14 half-hours for HGTV). In 2016-2017 Tim produced and directed the 10 part series Heavy Lifting for AMI and Historia. In 2017 The Smartass-ociates with Steve Patterson was executive produced, produced and directed by Tim for CBC.
