Joahn Webb began her professional career as a Grace Del Marco model after graduating from the Ophelia De Vore School of Charm in New York City. Joahn was one of Grace Del Marco models that was instrumental in crossing the advertising color line. Joahn's acting training began at the Negro Ensemble Company (NEC) and the Herghert Berghof Studio, N.Y.C. Joahn has performed in more than 50 theater productions from New York to Los Angeles. Joahn was honored in 1986 with an NAACP Image Award nomination for her performance in Theodore Wilson's play, "The Book of the Crazy African." Joahn distinguished herself as a publicist with her long association in the Beverly Hills/Hollywood NAACP. She was Director of Press and Publicity for their Branch which included the 14th, 15th and 16th Annual NAACP Image Awards Programs. Joahn also served as a staff writer for the 13th, 14th and 15th Awards Souvenir Journals as well as a production associate for the 13th and 14th Awards programs. Ms. Webb continues her association with the Branch as a co-founder of their Theatre Awards Program and an original Theatre Awards member. She is often solicited for historical information and recently wrote a feature article on the history and evolution of the Theatre Awards for the 17th Annual Theater Awards Souvenir Journal. Joahn also provided an extensive article on the Beverly Hills /Hollywood NAACP Image Awards in the NAACP national Crisis magazine. Her partnership with W/W & Associates was a full-service public relations company, specializing in event coordination and entertainment public relations. As a member of Towne Street Theatre, Los Angeles, California, she appears in many of their productions.
