Michael writes and directs exciting action stories with humor and heart. He writes scripts incredibly fast and has a joyful, scrappy work ethic emblazoned from Wilderness Survival training. He was born in Ohio and before graduating high school he co-wrote and produced an original large ensemble musical, Must the Show Go On, which his classmates put on and the proceeds of which upgraded the school auditorium. He went on to film school at Wright State University, finishing the program early. After moving to Los Angeles and working in production offices, on film sets, and for a global bank, he directed his first feature, the micro-budget sci-fi adventure Enemy Empire, in the scorching deserts of Nevada, out of the back of a Mini Cooper, with his producing partner Elisabeth Meurer. Their second feature, the diverse ensemble sci-fi comedy Alien Theory, won several awards including Best Feature at the Gen Con Film Festival and Best Supporting Actor for Elisabeth at BAFF. Their short Hitchcockian thriller The Borrower also garnered several awards. He has authored an upcoming original fantasy novel series, and is the creator of a high-stakes adventure comedy fiction podcast called Fire Pockets, coming soon as of this writing.
