Leandro has directed numerous advertising spots/campaigns worldwide, including recent spots for clients such as: Samsung, Procter and Gamble, Pantech/Cell phones, Qwest Telecom, Chattem/USA, McDonalds, Velocifero, etc. as well as music videos. Leandro's visual-storytelling and subtle comedy style has earned him collaborations with such agencies as Leo Burnett, FCB, TBWA, DDB, SMC-Group, Cheil Communications, etc. In addition, Leandro's work has been featured twice in Boards mag (online.) Leandro and Repertorium Films are represented by Fran Reina @ Paradigm LA. Leandro has Directed spots for Repertorium Films/ Pinnacle Pictures such as: "The Agent" (an official selection at the CANNES CYBER LIONS), "Cigarmaker", and "Change Perspectives", in addition to documentary segments for "The Gift of New York." Leandro completed in 2005 his short film "Side Effects" through Pinnacle Pictures/ Repertorium Films, which has shown in festivals such as Tribeca Underground Film Festival, Woods Hole International Film Festival, iFilm, etc. In 2007 Leandro was chosen as a speaker/panelist for NALIP's conference '07. Background: Leandro, a native of Venezuela, moved to Paris at 18 to study French and French civilization at La Sorbonne, as well as Music (percussion). Leandro then attended film school in Paris E.I.C.A and then gained experience on news shows in the USA. He acquired much of his experience in film production in Paris, while working on numerous international productions, with Directors such as Tarsem, Joe Pytka, Frederic Planchon, Samuel Bayer and many others. Leandro now resides in New York City and works worldwide as a Director. Another element of Leandro's creative talent is his mural paintings, recently exhibited in galleries in New York City (TriBeCa) and Miami, renowned BASEL art Festival. Leandro is fluent in English, French and Spanish. Leandro and Repertorium Films are currently in development on a diverse slate of TV and feature film projects; Repertorium Films is represented by Quinn Heraty at Heraty Law and Paradigm (Frank Reina, in Los Angeles).
