Dimitri Morantus was born in Brooklyn, New York. His passion and talent for the arts were apparent at even a young age. Performing in a variety of stage plays in high school and in college, Dimitri honed his skills in writing and acting. In 2001 he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting while attending Vanguard University. He would later receive a B.A. in communication. Dimitri spent all his time studying the arts, specifically dance and acting. His talent earned him a yearlong dance scholarship at the Jimmie DeFore Dance Studio where he focused on Hip Hop, Tap, Jazz, and Ballet. After the completion of his scholarship he signed to an agent and began working in the entertainment industry professionally. He has worked on several national campaigns, including commercials for TBS, NBC, Boost Mobile, Old Navy and more. Later, Dimitri was accepted for internship programs with several major production companies including Newline Cinema, Lionsgate, and Dick Clark Productions. Taking advantage of the opportunities, Dimitri quickly learned that he not only had a gift for writing, but producing and directing as well. In 2009, Dimitri decided to pursue his passion full time. Since then he has written and produced over 5 short films and a web-series called "My Roommate Is A Supermodel". His short Film "Charlie" was awarded at the Santa Monica Film festival in 2010. In addition, he has developed reality shows, which gained him representation from Innovative, a talent agency based out of Los Angeles, CA. This opened doors for him to pitch shows to varies networks such as MTV, CMT, STYLES, OWN, and VH1 to name a few. In 2010, Dimitri went back to school for Film and Business at Cal State Northridge.
