Born in Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo began his career with Price Waterhouse in 1990. His interest in finance and foreign markets led him to join Banco Garantia - renamed Credit Suisse First Boston - Latin America's premier investment bank. Over the next decade, he specialized in emerging countries' fixed income markets, first as Senior International Trader, and later as Director of Credit Trading and Portfolio Management in South America. In Brazil, Eduardo ventured into independent film distribution, which brought him to Los Angeles where he earned his MFA in Film Producing from the American Film Institute. While still at AFI, Eduardo collaborated with the Sundance Institute and the Slamdance Film Festival in varied capacities. In May 2006, he founded High Treason Productions and, soon after, Olhar Independente, a talent search service aimed at educating South American filmmakers and representing their work in Los Angeles. Olhar Independente and the Brazilian Film Network recently formed a partnership - BFN - to operate as a de facto rep office for the Brazilian film industry in Los Angeles. In 2010, Eduardo became a columnist for O Globo, one of Brazil's largest and most influential print dailies.
