Kezz Stone

He's been called a musical wonderboy, one of the finest songwriters in England & the best-kept secret in music. Kezz Stone is a British born singer/songwriter hailing from London's Chelsea district. Born in Bury St Edmunds in 1978 he is the younger of two boys to folk singer Jed Stone & mother Sally Potirakis. Attended Norwich City College sporadically in the mid 90s, preferring to spend most of his time globe trotting with touring bands, & perfecting his bewildering guitar technique. He won the face of 97 modeling competition, & then refused to stand in-front of the camera. Having gained himself a reputation as a serial model dater, in 2000 he settled down with Italian model Nathalie Petronelli, with whom he set up & runs independent record label Airhead Records. He has released one full-length solo album to date "Great Expectations" released June 2005 & showcased his extraordinary talent playing every single instrument on the album that he recorded on a four-track tape recorder in a house perched on the side of the A1 motorway. The album featured the lyrical ode to his muse Asia Argento who's name is also the songs title, as well as the instrumental "Scarlet Diva", taking its name from the movie written by, directed by & starring Argento. Likened to his own guitar hero Django Reinhardt, for his ability to play only by ear, as he never learned to read music, insisting, "books should be read, music should be played". Always a musical puzzle Stones influences draw from the energy of 1970's London punk bands, the bluesy rock of Led Zeppelin, & the earthy passion of his gypsy mentors Taraf de Haidouks. Thought to reside in the glitzy boho surfing town of Biarritz in his adopted country France, his gypsy lifestyle & unpredictability means little factual evidence of Stone exists. Clearly connected & highly protected, his name is like a ripple amongst the coolest of celebrity circles. Only time will tell if he will overcome his shyness & let the rest of the world hear just exactly what they say he's capable of.
