Cheryl Meyer

Cheryl has written for TV series on Amazon, BYU TV, CBBC, CBC, Disney, Family Channel, Netflix, and Super Channel. Her first feature film, the crime thriller The Last Mark, was a Toronto International Film Festival 2021 Industry Select and an Official Selection in the Canadian Film Festival 2022. Her grounded sci-fi thriller feature, Civil, produced by Electric Panda Entertainment and The Donaldson Company, received the 2021 Telefilm's Production Fund, was shortlisted for the 2020 TIFF Writers' Studio Lab, and was selected for the 2018 Netflix's Banff Diversity of Voices Initiative. Her third feature script, Invalid, was nominated for the Wscripted Second Cannes Screenplay List presented by Mubi. Cheryl's most interested in writing genre stories weaved with tales of people overcoming the injustices of their circumstances.
