Lori Lipman Brown was a Nevada state senator from 1992-1994. The southern Nevada chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union named her civil libertarian of the year. She was also named legislator of the year by the Nevada chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. In September 2005 she became the first director and Congressional lobbyist of the Secular Coalition for America.
