Bill was only 12 years old when his father, a former Army boxer and footballer took him to learn boxing, he graduated to Judo and after 2 years he gained his 2nd Kyu Brown Belt. Now he got the Martial Arts bug and took up Karate and after 12 years learning various styles and gaining his black belt 2nd Dan, he took up Aikido and gained his Black belt 1st Dan. He then decided to turn Professional Kickboxer gaining his 5th Dan Black Belt and fought for 8 years winning various titles as a middleweight including 3 times World Champion. He had to retire thru injury and set up a string of Martial Arts clubs, including teaching female self defence and designing a course specially for nurses. He was asked to coordinate a barroom brawl for Norwich Television and that started his Stunt career, after 3 years he was a qualified stuntman and recognised fight arranger. He is also a very good actor, usually he plays the hard man or Gangster type, but has shown he can play any roles asked of him as he is very adaptable and played the lead in 4 movies to date and appeared in movies and tv series both here in the UK and in America, Germany and Spain. Plus he currently has a lead role as Inspector John Reid in the Scottish Police series Extreme justice and the recurring role of Hagen in the American tv series The Gateway. He is now in the position that he can pick and choose what roles he wants to play, but is open to offers and very easy to work with. He gained more acting and stunt experience and gained his first job as a stunt coordinator on the Scottish film called The Bruce. From then he was hired as a stunt and fight coordinator on various film and TV Shows and worked as a 2nd Unit Director and Director. He formed Scotfilms to produce films that he has written and Directed, now producing their films in-house and adding other films, Bill is known for giving unknowns a chance on his films as he has a good eye for talent and he likes to make his fight and action scenes look as realistic as he can. He has a reputation as a fast Director and because he has worked in front of and behind the camera he knows how to treat his cast and how to get the best performance from them. He was married for 33 years to his wife Mary and have two grown up children, Suzanne and William. Since his divorce in 2011 Bill moved to the Costa Blanca with his film production company Scotfilms, and located in Torremendo Spain and part of the footage for his action film Trained to Kill was shot there. After 3 years in Spain he has now moved back to Scotland with his 2nd wife Jean whi is Filipino and 2 sons Philip (20) and Richmond (8) , they bought land and built a house in Mangaldan in the Philippines and split their time living in Scotland and the Philippines. Plus they continue to shoot their movies as Bill continues to write both movie and tv scripts.
