Jim Frater ACS is an internationally renowned cinematographer of documentaries and television and has just expanded his repertoire into features. His recent credits include the work on the Feature Films RAMS with Sam Neill and Miranda Richardson, the ABC TV series THE HEIGHTS, starring Pheonix Raei, Fiona Press, Roz Hammond and Shari Sebbens and he was the Steadicam and Underwater operator on the acclaimed films SON OF A GUN and THESE FINAL HOURS. Accredited by the Australian Cinematographers Society in 2014 allowing him the honor of letters, Jim is the recipient of a number of cinematography awards including AFI/AACTA nominations for DESERT WARS, JANDAMARRA'S WAR and Emmy nominated SURVIVING MUMBAI; and two Australian Cinematography Society (ACS) Gold Awards for Singapore 1942 - End Of Empire (Drama Documentary category) and Crosshairs (Short Feature category) and a ACS Golden Tripod for The Great Escape - The Reckoning (Best Dramatised Documentary). As well as filming all over the world for documentaries, his work has been featured across all major Australian, UK and US networks, including the ABC, the BBC, CNN and NBC.
