Pol Orpinell

Pol is a cinematographer working worldwide. He studied Film at ESCAC (Barcelona Film School) and then he went elected talent at the Berlinale 2004. Member of the Spanish Society of Cinematographers since 2018. His first feature "The Ilegal Woman" was nominated as best Film at the Gaudi awards 2020. This film has been premiered on Netflix worldwide. Since then he has been shooting several feature films like "Espejo Espejo" (2020) directed by Marc Crehuet ( Goya nominated best new director 2017) produced by Rodar y Rodar, also he shot "Ramona" (2021) first feature film of Andrea Bagney, shot entirely in 16mm and will be at the Malaga Film Festival 2022 at the WIP section. He also works a lot on TV serials, like "The Hockey girls" , "Ser o No Ser" , "Welcome to the Family" and actually he is in the middle of the preproduction for his first Netflix original called "Smiley" directed by Marta Pahissa and the script by Guillem Clua... He combines her drama work with commercials, music videos and fashion films. He has been shooting all over the world for several brands and production companies Always passionate about art, beauty, photography, dramaturgy and its audiovisual narrative. He loves walking alongside the director to bring his story to the visual imaginary to which it belongs, with sensitivity and enthusiasm.
