Travis Nettles was born in a small rural community (Lake City, Florida) in north Florida to Michael (a Service manager for an office supply company) and Pam Nettles (a Kindegarten Teacher at Branford Elementary School). He showed an interest in acting at a very young age. He was the star of his kindergarten musical. He grew up loving the stage and sports. He was a Co-Captain of his high school (BHS) Football team and a member of the Baseball and Track teams. After graduating high school in 2001 he went to a local college where he planned to major in Pre-Med and go on to the University of Florida's School of Medicine. However, he saw an open audition for a college play and decided to try out. Needless to say he got a part and caught the bug. By the time he left his local college he had starred in 4 plays and 2 musicals including, "Arsenic and Old Lace," as Officer Pat Brophy, Larry Shue's "The Nerd," as The title character Rick Steadman, Arthur Miller's "The Crucible," as Judge Danforth showing his depth as an actor. And a student written play entitled, "Scattered, Smothered and Dead," as the lovable Cook. His musical debut included Peter Pan, he was Mr. Smee and Godspell as Jesus. Needless to say he was hooked and decided to pursue a career in acting. So he applied, auditioned and was accepted into The School for Film and Televison. He has been very busy since he has been in New York, getting a supporting role in an off-off Broadway show Lunch:Live, directed by Pam Scott and opening up his own production company. He submitted a short film to Tribeca Film festival.
