Chris Brooks

Christoper Adam Brooks, aka Brooksie, was born on 3rd October 1971 in Eastbourne, East Sussex. Chris was 15 when he started Hospital Radio in Eastbourne, He loved it and would recommend it to anyone who fancied working in Radio as a career. "It really gives you an idea of what is involved, doing a show on Hospital Radio is the same process as doing a show on Capital Radio." Since Hospital Radio Chris has worked for many stations in the UK, (for the anoraks they are Chiltern, Northants 96, Horizon, Metro, Galaxy101, Kix 96, Essex Fm and the GWR Network). Capital was always the place Chris wanted to work at since he was a kid growing up in Watford, "DJ's I looked up to at the time were all on Capital the likes of Chris Tarrant, Pat Sharp, Mick Brown and Foxy". He now lives in Essex with his wife Karen, and has 3 kids Kirsty, Harry and baby Sam. Chris moved to Essex a few years ago when he was at Essex FM "I feel as if I have been adopted as an Essex boy now". He use to do a show there with Scott Robinson who had just left the band 5ive, "Me and Scott had a great laugh on air and have become good mates now and still see each other most weeks, and when he has a poker night I go round and win his money, which is nice!" Chris now works alongside his good friends Scott as partners in the newly set up management company, Killer Media, where there are 3 artists signed on, Georgie Swan, Scott Robinson and Adorno Stone.
