Following a stint as a correspondent for PWI and the first incarnation of WCW Magazine, he approached WCW about setting up WCW Magazine again. Using his own finances he set up a publishing company in the UK and began publishing WCW Magazine in late 1994. By 1997 it was one of the best selling and most successful wrestling publications in the world and Colin had to move to the USA. Colin retained ownership of WCW Magazine until 1998 when WCW decided to bring it in-house.
