Tony Teofilo first worked as a Main Street bar bouncer (weeknights) and film journalist (weekends) in small-town Wisconsin. The only bar brawls he was ever injured in were between women, and the only professional black eye he took came from Richard Gere. He freelanced for Premiere Magazine, Wizard Magazine, and The Conley Media Syndicate. For these publications, he conducted feature interviews with Ben Affleck, Queen Latifah, George Carlin, Matt Damon, and many others. A conversation with Carlin jump-started his transition from journalist to creator, a process that took more than ten years. In 2004, a brief working relationship with film director Kevin Smith relocated Teofilo to Los Angeles. A weekend tour guide job at Universal Studios Hollywood lead to two years in Universal's Creative Development Department. There he met Producer Paul Cuoco, and the two mounted their first LA-based co-production "Mercy". The project won Best Action Short Film at the Action On Film Festival in 2008. After leaving Universal, Teofilo became Editor-In-Chief of PGM Media, a digital content portal partially owned by Producer Peter Guber. There, he managed digital publications, produced video segments, and conducted interviews. In 2012, Teofilo left journalism. He now acts, and writes and directs commercial content. Commercial clients include Western Union, Popsicle, Chiquita, and McCormick Spices. Film and television appearances include The Office, The Tonight Show, and Through The Wormhole with Morgan Freeman.
