With the proceeds from the tour the 4 gents headed to Haiti to live, work and serve in various communities around the country. It was in Haiti that Matt met his wife, Eva, a teacher at an international school in Port-au-Prince. Both taught at the school until 2001 when they returned to the US for Matt's graduate studies. They moved to Los Angeles in 2004 and Matt completed his MA in Theology and Film from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2008. It was at Fuller that Matt met several of his filmmaking colleagues including Matt Barber, Lauralee Farrer, Tamara Johnston McMahon and Rob Bethke. In 2008 Webb and Barber co-wrote/directed/produced the award winning short, Weathered, starring Nicole Parker and Tony Hale, as well as numerous music videos. In 2010 Matt joined the crew of Not That Funny, starring Tony Hale, as the 1st AD, working alongside Farrer, McMahon, Barber and Bethke, as well as several others who would work together on the upcoming feature and shorts series, Praying the Hours, directed by Farrer. In June 2014 Webb and his family will launch One Year Road Trip, a multi-media documentary project about kids across America who are working to change the world. They will spend 14 months traveling the US in their RV school bus interviewing amazing children and inspiring scores more to go out and be change-makers. The project is produced by Matt and Eva Webb, Dawn LaMattina Asher, and Dave Torstenson. Matt is also the co-founder of the burgeoning Kinema Commonwealth, a collective of filmmakers dedicated to creating an environment of creative, story-driven filmmaking based on a foundation of respect for people and the art that we practice. Matt and his wife, Eva, live in Los Angeles with their three ridiculously fabulous progeny.
