Nello Petrucci is an Italian artist and movie director. He lives and works between Pompei and New York. After a film career in Rome where he obtained his studies in Film Director and gained work experience with directors such as Martin Scorsese, Ari Taub, Manetti Bros, Alan Taylor, etc. He carries out various independent projects. From short films, video-art to independent films and received numerous prizes for his work. He moved to Dublin for a short time, during which he met numerous artists. After that he started to look at the art world when he began his artistic career. He returned to Rome and then to Naples where he attended the Academy of Fine Arts. From the cinematographic experience comes the inspiration for the visual arts: in fact, due to his great sensitivity as a true artist, these become the prime subjects for his imagination and develops the great technical ability by starting a new path. Composing fragments in a universe in full motion (collagé and decollagè) and finally overlapping the images in order to create a world visible from many points of view: the result is simply exceptional rarity; One of the dominant features of the works he realizes is that of a great dynamism: all the images seem to rotate in a universe that emanates a strong energy. The same energy that he recalls in his work, his vision of the world and given by connection that we relate to it, how we are strongly connected between us and our actions, just as it is in his works...
