Atalanti Dionysus web series The Journey of Documentary (2012) has been nominated for 11 awards in numerous festivals nationally and internationally receiving 7 awards including Best Interactive Documentary, Best Web Series and an Outstanding Achievement award for Educational Interactive Website. In 2015 Atalanti was selected as a documentary filmmaker mentor for ACMI's Hothouse project and made a short documentary about street art. In 2014 Atalanti received the Inaugural Hazel Hawke Arts Award for her contribution as an artist and her support of female artists within the community. In 2014 she produced short film Sir Dance-a-lot written & directed by Lana Schwarcz which has screened at 9 festivals worldwide and is currently on the Handmade Puppet Festival world series tour thru North America, Czech Republic, India, Israel, Prague, United Kingdom, France and Canada In 2008 she production managed and co-ordinated Eraser Children/Dir. Nathan Christoffel an independently made feature film which received Best Australian Film at Sydney International Science Fiction Film Festival. In 2007 she production co-ordinated another feature with producer Franziska Wagenfeld, Playing for Charlie/Dir. Pene Patrick. In the same year she also co-produced & production managed an independently made feature, Frozen Butterflies/Dir. Mark Lipkin before given birth to her daughter Ruby in October 2007. In 2007 she wrote/directed and produced a documentary for the community of Tolmie based on the bush-fire which almost burnt the town, the project raised over $20,000 for the local CFA, she was presenting with a highly commendable award by the CFA and the Shire of Mansfield. In 2005 Atalanti was a recipient of Film Victoria's producers' attachment with Beth Frey at Circe Films, where she worked on two projects simultaneously, award winning feature film Stranded/Dir. Stuart McDonald and Vietnam Nurses/Dir. Polly Watkins, a documentary which screened on SBS. The music video she produced in 2007, for record company Mushroom records received Best Music Video in the Inaugural Music Video category at the St Kilda Film Festival for TZU's In Front of Me/Dir. Anto Skene. Atalanti is currently working on several projects including a 'Women in Horror' anthology project with six other female writer/director & producer teams, produced by production company Unicorn Films with Lizette Atkins and Maggie Miles, and is in post-production on the feature film she has produced with Angie Black, 'The Five Provocations', of which Angie Black is also the writer, director. In 2012 Atalanti completed an MA titled Documentary Producing and Interactive Platforms: Opportunities, Evolving Processess and the Changing Craft at the Australian Film Television and Radio School. Atalanti was recently awarded a scholarship by La Trobe University 2017, to undertake her PhD, looking at Augmented and Virtual Reality Storytelling for narrative and documentary projects. The PhD will be completed by 2021, with a practiced led component. She has started a blog Augmented And Virtual Reality Storytelling, which will feature her research as she progress, on all things VR/AR.
