Cecilia Hae-Jin Lee is a writer, photographer, artist, chef. Born in Seoul, South Korea, she immigrated to America in 1977. She studied Visual Arts and Biochemistry at the University of California, San Diego. Deciding against a career in medicine, she continued making public art, installations and paintings. She has written several cookbooks and travel guides, and writes for a variety of publications, including the Los Angeles Times.
