József Sipos was born in Budapest, Hungary. He was a producer and director at the Hungarian Public Television. After that he started his own film production company, Filmnet. He is a director, writer and producer, known for Esther's inheritance (2008), Adventure (2011) and The lost European (2015). He is currently preparing the film about the well known Hungarian composer, pianist and an ethnomusicologist, Béla Bartók.
