Arnita Champion was born on June 6, in Norfolk, Virginia, USA, Arnita is the youngest daughter born to mother Barbara Epps an apartment manager and James Champion a former carpenter. Arnita has three older sisters named Barbara, Christina, and Lisa. Arnita first came into the spotlight at the early age of 6 where she graced the track with her gazelle like speed. She continued on throughout high school breaking and setting records that remains to be unbroken in the 100 meters, 100 meter hurdlers and the long jump. She continued her athletic journey throughout college where she was awarded a full athletic scholarship at Texas Southern University. Arnita hold titles of being an "All American Hurdler" "All Time Individual Champion", United States Track and Field (USTAF) Elite Athlete, National Pan American Champion and a member of the World Championship team and the top 8 finalist in the 84, 88, and 92 Olympic Trials. In 1993 Arnita took a rest from competition and gave birth to Brittany Lauren, who she calls her pride and joy. However, on her road to the 1996 Olympics, Arnita was plagued with Achilles tendinitis. Due to this untimely Achilles injury, in 1996 Champion underwent major surgery. This resulted in Arnita "hanging up her spikes." With the burning desire as to where she should channel her energy, she reached back to her first love...Acting! In just a two short years as an actress, Arnita landed lead roles giving dynamic performances in independent films like Rise- Above the Silver and Gold, Behind Closed Doors, Consignment, In with Thieves, VooDoo Dolly, A Song and a Prayer, and Psalm 23. She continues to be sought after for her ability to woe cameras as well as her audiences with her talent to give versatile looks, her unique and untouchable acting skills, charisma, and presence. Arnita the stunning model/actress, now with a few films under her belt, continues down her path to super-stardom by being cast as Victoria, one of the lead roles in a noted stage play "Twelve Black Women in the Same Black Dress. Now with a new look, Champion, after 5 years, cut her dreadlocks which undoubtedly give her a sultry, sexy, spunky and undeniable Champion look!
