Hilariously raunchy adult novelty comedy singer, songwriter, and musician Red Peters was born Peter Peters on July 11, 1950. He stems from a show business family and hails from the Boston, Massachusetts area. Red showed musical talent at an early age; he mimicked such entertainers as Bing Crosby, Ed Sullivan, Louis Armstrong, and Dwight Eisenhower as a little boy. His family traveled the country doing a song-and-dance show which featured a dog act. Peters put together the solo production Show Tunes for Shut-Ins, which was a musical comedy revue for senior citizens. Red moved from band to band and city to city before hooking up with band leader Babe Marino and His Orchestra to record the dirty ditty "Blow Me (You Hardly Know Me)." Peters followed this song with the equally filthy country swing tune "How's Your Whole .. Family?" with the Poisonaires. He has recorded songs in such diverse music genres as art rock/New Wave ("Give Yourself a Handy, You've Earned It"), British punk ("Teachers in Space"), a capella ("You Promised the Moon (But I Preferred Uranis)"), and even poignant country weepers (the heart-wrenching "Ballad of a Dog Named Stains"). Red hosts the radio program "The Red Peters Comedy Hour." Moreover, Peters has made guest appearances on "The Howard Stern Show." He recorded his debut album "I Laughed .. I Cried .. I Fudged My Undies" in 1995. Red released his second full-length album "Ol' Blue Balls is Back" in 2004.
