Alex Tkaczevski

After moving to NYC from Argentina, Tkaczevski started taking piano lessons with Elena Wolkonsky, and within six months auditioned successfully to get into the Manhattan School of Music precollege division. Took piano and composition lessons there. received a Bachelor of Music degree from University of Hartford's Hartt School of Music in 1981. Earned a Master's and Doctorate from Stanford University. Upon completing his graduate education, started working at Broderbund Software as a sound designer, developing children educational software. His career in sound design took him to Fujitsu and Fisher-Price. He now writes music for concert and film, and teaches piano in New Hampshire
