Allan Tsao

Allan Tsao's first feature-length script was a semifinalist in the 2020 Academy Nicholl Fellowship for Screenwriting. Raised in Taiwan and New York, Allan's short films have screened at festivals around the world, including the Milan International FF, Beijing International FF and New York Shorts International FF. He has received awards in the category of 'Best Film,' 'Cinematography' and 'Producing' and, as an intern at Howard University's WHUT-TV, he wrote and produced a segment that was submitted for a daytime Emmy nomination. He received a BA degree from NYU Tisch and was a graduate of Manhattan School of Music for classical piano.
