Clare was born in Derbyshire, England, United Kingdom. Having began her training in ballet at the age of two she quickly developed a liking for the stage, her first performance was the role of Tiny Tears in a dance school production at the Derby Playhouse Theatre when she was only two and a half! During a school performance of Annie Clare took on the role of Pepper and it was here that she discovered her love of singing and acting in musical theatre. Clare took singing and acting lessons from the age of fourteen and went on to take the lead roles with The Mellow Dramatics theatre company at the Burton Brewhouse Arts Centre in shows such as Gigi where she took the title role and Little Shop of Horrors in which she played Audrey. Clare also won many awards at drama and music festivals around middle England. At eighteen Clare won a place at East 15 Acting School, one of the worlds top ten acting schools holding auditions in America, Norway, France and Sweeden for only thirty places in a year group. Over a BA Acting Degree course spanning three years she perfected the technique of method acting and took on leading roles again starring as Irena in Checkov's The Three Sisters, Isabella in Shakespeare's Measure for Measure and Hermia in A Mid Summer Night's Dream. Clare's first professional role was with The London Classic Theatre company playing Dainty Fidget in The Country Wife at The Gatehouse Theatre in Highgate, London, England. After this she went onto touring around the number one theatres in the United Kingdom with children's musicals, including Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Dorothy in Wizard of Oz, Snow White in Snow White, Princess Aurora in Sleeping Beauty, Mangirl in Jungle book, Grettle in Hansel and Grettle, Jane in Tarzan and the Animals and Alice Fitzwarren in Dick Whittington. Having played the innocent for such a long time it was a nice change for Clare when she was cast as Phantom cover Janet/Columbia/Magenta in the West End and Broadway cast European stadium and theatre tour of The Rocky Horror Show and singing on stage with Patricia Quinn (original Magenta in the film) remains one of her favorite experiences to date. Having fulfilled her musical theatre ambitions Clare decided to go back to her acting routes and explore the world of television and film. For this she went back to school again and took a Post Graduate course at Redroofs Film and Television School. It was here that she acquired a more in depth look at the technical requirements of acting for the camera from guest directors and tutors from Hollywood and England. Clare took on the lead female role in an advert for Nescafe which won a Cannes Lions Silver Award. Following this she was to be cast back as the innocents and occasional diva again, taking on the leading female roles in several Horror films which toured America and the United Kingdom around the Horror Festival circuits. Clare was honored when she was invited to make a guest appearance as a judge at The Portsmouth and Southampton Horror Film Festival. During the aforementioned festival Clare was heavily pregnant with her first baby, a little girl, who was born Rose Emily on 3rd May 2007. Clare later gave birth to her son George Edward on a very snowy February 25th 2009 in England.
