Antonio Palumbo was born in Bari in 1973. He studied acting and drama at Kismet Opera in Bari and he moved to Rome where he studied privately as an actor. His directorial debut with theatrical "Bossolo", of which he also wrote, won the Italian Festival of Short Theatrical in 2004 receiving a special mention at the Prix La Pastora Funds. In 2010 his movie directorial debut and in 2011 Palumbo got - as screen player- the special prize at Cortinametraggio with the short film "Domani" produced by Beppe Fiorello for Ibla Film. He was a Ghosth Writer for the Italian TV. Since 2012, he signs a series of commercials for the tourism promotion of the Apulia region. In 2015 he directed "Varichina", a movie with which he won several festivals around the world and was nominated at the Italian Silver Ribbon in 2017. He Is Professor of Film Directing at the National Film Training Centre in Rome.
