Jamal M. Jennings

Jamal M. Jennings knew he had a passion for acting and storytelling since his first retelling of movies and shows while growing up in Richmond, California to his friends. The appeal of engaging others remained an ongoing theme in his professional career as he worked in interactive entertainment, special effects, and writing. Ultimately, it became clear to Jamal, that the writing and telling of stories were where he needed to focus his energy. This clarity led to an opportunity to collaborate with director Lee Cummings on an independent film which he ended up co-starring in, Date for Hire. The project proved to be a tremendous learning experience that has helped Jamal align his passions and career. This positive experience cemented Jamal's focus on film production, leading him to pursue various writing and acting opportunities. Jamal enjoys juggling writing work on several screenplays as well as acting in independent films. His goal is to create honest, unique work that reflects the many facets of the human condition. While he's showcased his facility with comedy, he aims to have a body of work that covers comedy, drama, science fiction and everything in between. Although a few decades may have passed since Jamal first discovered the joys of storytelling and acting, he is still as anxious as ever to bring stories to life for all to see.
