Jesse Meyerson was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He attended Henry H. Houston Elementary School and Julia R. Masterman school for Middle and High School, all in Philadelphia. He attended New York University where he took his Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics and Religious Studies. While there he was the head editor of "The Plague," the University's satirical comedy magazine for his last two years. Following graduation he attended the City University of New York Graduate Center as a Master's student in Linguistics.
