Born in San Diego, California, and raised in the inland community of Scripps Ranch, his fascination with filmmaking came at an early age after seeing Steven Spielberg's 1991 Peter Pan epic, Hook. Using his father's Hi 8 camera, Brian began making short films and developing his knack for writing. In 2005 he and director Adam Blake Carver produced the short film, Rising Water, which took home top honors at Best Fest America, including best of the fest. Brian wrote and produced numerous short and feature projects before moving to Los Angeles in 2007 to pursue a career in Hollywood.
